After the success of the Mistral, in 2018 the Rigoloccio doubled the challenge on the front of whites by launching Montecalvo, always based on Chardonnay, with a balance of Fiano. The vinification in steel highlights the characteristic varietal notes and the minerality linked to the terroir. The name Montecalvo is a tribute to the hill that stands near winery, between the town of Gavorrano and the hamlet of Ravi
Variety: Chardonnay 60%, Fiano 40% Appellation: Toscana Bianco IGT Vinification: White fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature for 20 days Aging: 6 months in stainless steel tank Bottle aging: some months in the bottle Coloe: Straw yellow with golden reflections Scent: Intense and complex bouquet of wild flowers, acacia, white and yellow pulp fruit (apple, pear, lychee, grapefruit) medlar Flavor: A beautiful white structure, supported by an enveloping freshness and flavor. the taste is dynamic, clean, with a plesantly mineral and fruity finish Alcohol content: 13 % vol.
