THE ARTIST
Tamara Meskhi was born and lives in Moscow, where she attended the prestigious Stroganov Moscow State University of Arts and Industry, the Academy of Industrial and Applied Arts.
Her main work also include the tapestries of the White House in Moscow, the official seat of the government of the Russian Federation.
In addition to creating abstract paintings with tempera colors, the artist paints fabrics following the batik technique. It is an ancient form of painting that has been practiced in Indonesia, southern India and other regions of Southeast Asia since the 12th century.
In the seventeenth century it was also introduced in Europe and today it is highly appreciated for the decoration of fabrics intended for clothing, but above all for furnishings.
For Rigoloccio Tamara Meskhi has signed all the designs of the new collection of labels.
